So here is the finished version of that crossover picture of Pyro and Scout as a Warlock and (fire) Mage, respectively.  I desperately wanted to do a picture of Pyro wearing the Dark Coven’s armor from ICC, because it was the cutest lock outfit ever, with its kewpie doll hat and gingham witch dress…. and I love the blue version of the Tirisfal Regalia, so I decided to use this as an excuse to do both.  I made the figures a lot smaller in the hopes that it would take less time and be less agonizing than the Priest-Medic picture was.

For the convenience of my non-WoW followers, Warlocks and Mages are basically kissing cousins, possessing many analogous skills like being able to teleport or regain health/mana.  Mages employ arcane magic in combat to summon elemental attacks ex nihilo and evade their enemies by baffling them with magical snares and dazzling enchantments.  While Scout isn’t quite as cerebral as a mage should be, he’s just as fleet-footed and destructive as one, and is also equally prone to dying first when his escape buttons are on cooldown.  Warlocks are students of the dark arts who practice a more corrosive version of arcane magic; they can control demonic slaves, decrepify their enemies with curses, or just burn fucking everything.  Their health regeneration talents make them a little burlier than mages, which sort of makes up for their more limited “oh shit!” abilities.

With this one, I didn’t actually want the huge-ass explosion to be totally affecting the light and colour on the foreground figures or the whole picture would just be red and yellow- I might go back and see if it looks better or worse if I add the glow it should be casting on their costumes.

I had to go back and reblog this, because it makes me laugh every time I see it.  BRO FIST BUMP EXPLOSION!

I have read a lot of debates on the ages of the TF2 bros (like the Pyro gender debate, I stand on the male side but I am totally fine with femme). I am open to whatever but here are my head canons. The top number being the most probably age bracket, and the lower being what I like to think of them as.

Also, people who say Medic is an old man- I don’t think he’d be any older than 55 and that ain’t old. Sad that people think it is “grandpa” worthy x3 Ignore cruddy doodle, thought it might make the post more interesting.
