I’ll start off by saying, I’m not that all into shipping characters, it’s not really my style. But to me it would be amazing to actually see an American children’s show with gay characters in it (that aren’t walking stereotypes). If they actually make it happen I think it would be great. And because this is Adventure Time, I really feel like they would do it right, as in it wouldn’t be the focus of the characters. I don’t think the characters themselves would change and they shouldn’t have to. It’s so often in tv/comics/literature the only interesting thing about the characters is that they’re gay and that is their whole reason for existing. So thank you Adventure Time team for at the very least hinting at this, and if you make it actually happen, you should be very proud.
Proud not because of caving to the whole shipping crazy or anything, but proud because you would have amazing characters that would just happen to be gay, which is something a lot of people have failed at in the past.

Reblogging to say I agree. Nothing makes me happier then seeing homosexuality being treated with such care in media. I really hope these ladies become a real couple in the show, the would needs more characters that just so happen to be gay rather then “gay characters”. Make it normal.
